Everyone out west who reads this post is asking, "What the heck is in Branson, Mo?" Well, after moving out here, we heard that Branson is a very small tourist town. It's near a lake and it is considered the "live show capital of the U.S." The main street is set up like a "Las Vegas strip." (no porn around though!) There are lots of concert halls for once upon a time famous singers and lots of concert halls for total unknown people. There are circus acts, comedy shows etc! They have lots of family activities like goofy golf, dino museum, Titanic museum, shopping, etc. It also has caverns you can tour and an amusement park. Luckily, we have a timeshare condo there, so we set off for 5 days! Unfortunately, it was windy and rainy the whole time. We did not go to the amusement park or see any caves (bummer) We did go to the Titanic Museum which was awesome! It was very kid friendly and we all had a great time! We also went to the Dolly Parton Dixie Stampede dinner show. It was awesome! We had front row seats. It was a civil war type show with horses and other animals with races and tricks. The dinner was great and you could only use your fingers to eat! We also went on a duck tour of Branson and then went out on the lake. The kids got to drive the bus on the lake and thought that was awesome! On the way home, we stopped at Laura Ingall Wilder's house in Independence, KS. It was a replica of the cabin that they lived in for a couple of years when she was 5. Austin and I have been reading the books and loved it!!! It was a great trip!
